Who We Are
ZUFUF is a Pakistan-based matrimonial platform operated as a private venture. Our platform is accessible via our website at www.zufuf.com and through our mobile application available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information collected through these channels.
We take the privacy of our users with exceptional seriousness. ZUFUF was built precisely because of the widespread privacy failures in Pakistan’s Rishta and matrimonial ecosystem. Privacy is not a feature on ZUFUF — it is the foundation. This Privacy Policy explains clearly and honestly what data we collect, why, how we use it, who may see it, and how it is protected.

Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal information when you register on ZUFUF, complete your profile, communicate with our representative team, or use our platform features. The categories of data we collect are as follows:

- Full legal name
- Date of birth and age
- Gender
- Email address and/or phone number used for account creation
- Country and city of residence
- Religion and, where voluntarily provided, religious denomination or sect
2.2 Profile Information
- Educational background (degrees, institutions, graduation years)
- Professional background (occupation, employer, industry)
- Physical description (height, build, complexion — self-described)
- Personality information gathered through the psychologist profiling session
- Values, preferences, and expectations for a marriage partner
- Profile photograph (uploaded voluntarily by the user)
- Bio and personal statement
- Mehr expectations and family-related preferences (for Muslim users, voluntarily provided)
2.3 Verification Documents
- National Identity Card (CNIC) copy or equivalent government-issued identification
- Educational degree certificates and transcripts
- Professional certifications and licences
- Vehicle registration documents (where a user declares asset ownership)
- Property ownership documentation (where declared by the user)
- Passport and visa copies (Abroad Finding package users only)
2.4 Payment Information
- Payment method details (bank transfer, card, or Easypaisa) — note that full card details are handled and encrypted by our third-party payment processor and are not stored on ZUFUF servers
- Transaction history and package subscription records
2.5 Communication Data
- Messages exchanged between matched users within the ZUFUF platform chat
- Messages exchanged between users and ZUFUF representatives
- Notes and session records from psychologist representative sessions (kept strictly confidential)
2.6 Technical & Usage Data
- IP address and device identifiers
- Browser type and operating system
- App usage data, login timestamps, and feature interaction logs
- Crash reports and diagnostic data

How We Use Your Personal Data
ZUFUF uses your personal data strictly for the following purposes:
3.1 To provide and operate our platform services
- Creating and maintaining your account
- Facilitating your psychologist profiling session and building your profile
- Operating ZUFUF’s AI-assisted compatibility matching engine
- Delivering your daily curated match suggestions (Paid and Premium plans)
- Enabling in-platform messaging with matched users, family members, and representatives
3.2 To verify your identity and profile authenticity
- Reviewing submitted documents to confirm the accuracy of stated credentials and identity
- Applying the “Verified” badge to your profile upon successful verification
3.3 To process payments
- Processing subscription and registration fees for paid plans
- Maintaining records of transactions for accounting and dispute resolution
3.4 To communicate with you
- Sending platform notifications, match alerts, and representative updates
- Sending service-related communications (account confirmations, policy updates)
- Contacting you regarding your subscription, renewal, or account status
3.5 To improve our platform
- Analysing aggregate, anonymised usage patterns to improve features and matching accuracy
- Identifying and resolving technical issues
How We Protect Your Data
ZUFUF was built with privacy and data security as foundational requirements, not afterthoughts. The following measures are in place to protect your personal information:
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and ZUFUF’s servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols.
- Encryption at rest: Sensitive data — particularly verification documents, CNIC copies, and psychologist session notes — is encrypted when stored on our servers.
- Access controls: Role-based access controls ensure that only authorised team members access specific categories of user data. No single team member has unrestricted access to all user data.
- No public profile listing: Your profile — including your name, photograph, and any personal detail — is never displayed publicly on the ZUFUF website, app discovery feed, social media, or any public channel.
- Photo privacy: Profile photographs are blurred by default to all other users until explicit mutual interest is confirmed. Women’s photographs remain blurred until this confirmation; male users may opt in or out of this protection.
- Session confidentiality: All psychologist session content is treated as strictly confidential and is accessible only to the assigned representative and authorised ZUFUF management.
- Data breach response: In the event of a data breach that may affect your personal information, ZUFUF will notify affected users within a reasonable timeframe and take immediate remedial action.
Your Rights Over Your Personal Data
As a ZUFUF user, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the end of this document:
Right to Access
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data ZUFUF holds about you at any time.
Right to Correction
You have the right to request that inaccurate or incomplete personal data be corrected. You may update most profile information directly within the app; document updates require you to contact our team.
Right to Deletion
You have the right to request that your personal data be deleted from ZUFUF’s systems. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, ZUFUF will delete your data within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records (such as payment transaction records required for tax or audit purposes).
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where data processing is based on your consent (for example, sharing your profile with a matched user), you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Right to Restrict Processing
You may request that ZUFUF restrict the processing of your data — for example, while a dispute about accuracy is being resolved.
Right to Data Portability
You may request a copy of your personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe ZUFUF has mishandled your personal data, you may lodge a complaint with ZUFUF directly, or with the relevant Pakistani telecommunications and data authority. ZUFUF will respond to all complaints within 14 working days.
Data Retention
ZUFUF retains your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter, in line with the following retention schedule:

Upon a verified account deletion request, ZUFUF will delete or anonymise all personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required as noted above.
Children’s Privacy
ZUFUF is a matrimonial platform intended exclusively for adults aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect, store, or process the personal data of anyone under the age of 18.
Registration on ZUFUF requires submission of a valid CNIC, which is issued to Pakistani nationals aged 18 and above. This requirement serves as a primary age-verification mechanism.
If ZUFUF becomes aware that a user under the age of 18 has registered on the platform, the account will be immediately suspended and all associated data deleted. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child may have registered on ZUFUF, please contact us immediately at the details provided below.
International Users
ZUFUF is operated from Pakistan and primarily serves Pakistani users. For users who are Pakistani nationals residing abroad or international users accessing our platform through the Abroad Finding package or other plans, the following applies:
- Your personal data will be stored and processed on servers based in or managed from Pakistan.
- By using ZUFUF from outside Pakistan, you consent to your personal data being transferred to and processed in Pakistan, subject to the protections described in this Privacy Policy.
- ZUFUF takes reasonable steps to ensure that international data transfers comply with applicable data protection principles, including requiring that any third-party processors handling data on our behalf maintain adequate security standards.
Users in jurisdictions with specific data protection laws (including but not limited to the European Union, United Kingdom, or Gulf Cooperation Council countries) are advised to contact ZUFUF if they have specific questions about how their local data protection rights apply to their use of the platform.
Changes to This Policy
ZUFUF reserves the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy and Disclaimer at any time to reflect changes in platform operations, applicable law, or data handling practices. When material changes are made, ZUFUF will:
- Update the “Effective Date” at the top of this document.
- Display a prominent notification within the ZUFUF app and/or website informing users of the update.
- Where changes are significant, send a direct notification to registered users via the email address or phone number on their account.
Your continued use of the ZUFUF platform after the effective date of any updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you have the right to close your account and request deletion of your data before the revised policy takes effect.
